SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act Letter of Support

Published on

On September 12th, the United States Congress reintroduced the SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act in the 118th Congress. This bill would raise the allowable assets that Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients can have without risking their access to SSI benefits and eliminate the marriage penalty. The legislation would also require adjustments to the SSI asset limits for inflation every year to ensure that asset limits coincide with inflation patterns.

Take action and urge your members of Congress to support the bill using our action alert here.
