Trifecta of a Lifestyle: Physical Fitness

In a month and a half, I have been losing weight! I have lost 10 pounds and I feel so much better.

Exercising is any type of bodily activity that helps maintain health and wellness. It strengthens muscles, cardiovascular, honing athletic skills and weight loss. There are many activities that help you get in shape such as swimming, yoga, walking and strength training.

When you work out, aim to set a goal for yourself of 30 minutes to an hour. If you don’t exercise, you will have a loss of bone density. This can weaken within time. I suggest going to the gym of your choice or if you have a Wii fitness at home, try using it. Go a couple of times a week, do some core exercise like crunches, planks and push-ups. When working out at the gym vary you work outs. If you’re concentrating on your arms, switch to a leg work out the next day.

Make sure you’re using the proper equipment or machines. Have a staff member or a personal trainer help you use the machines correctly so you don’t get hurt. When you do work out, warm up and cool down. Hydrating is important! Don’t drink soda or sugary drinks. As you work out, be sure to keep a water bottle handy to prevent hydration.

I have been going to the gym three to four times a week and I keep my workouts versatile. I target my arms and do cardio. I feel great after going. It’s a great motivator to start my day.
