#DSVOTES® is an initiative from the NDSS Self-Advocate Advisory Board (SAAB) to encourage political participation by all self-advocates.

NDSS has developed a partnership with the national self-advocacy organization, Self-Advocates Becoming Empowered (SABE) on the very important issue of voting. SABE’s National Technical Assistance Center for Voting and Cognitive Access helps protection and advocacy systems, election officials and people with disabilities to make voting accessible for all citizens. The Center is managed and operated by leaders in the self-advocacy movement.

Visit SABE’s GoVoter! website for valuable resources on registering to vote, voting rights, voting machines, voter ID laws, voting stories, and voting and guardianship.
