The 2020 Virtual New York City Buddy Walk® took place on Saturday, September 12, 2020 to honor and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome in our communities. This event is focused on raising awareness and funds for NDSS programs that benefit people with Down syndrome and their families.

The event was celebrated virtually by over 1,500 people and raised more than $150,000.

We are so thankful for everyone’s support and we look forward to seeing what we can achieve together in 2021!

Montclair State University

We are recruiting people with down syndrome ages 12 to 25 to take part in a research study conducted by Dr. Yingying (Jennifer) Yang at Montclair State University. The purpose of this study is to research how spatial abilities develop. This research study can be done online or in-person, and consists of having children complete fun computer, board, and paper games. Parents will complete several questionnaires about their children’s daily behaviors. The testing will take approximately 2-2.5 hours with many breaks included. Compensation includes a $40 Amazon gift card. To get involved, please email us at
