For the past three years, NDSS has been participating in the PLAY Campaign until COVID-19 had to pause in-person events. PLAY, which stands for Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth, is a public awareness campaign of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society® (PBATS), in conjunction with the Taylor Hooton Foundation, and the Henry Schein Cares Foundation. The PLAY Campaign combats child obesity and promotes healthy living and decision making among young people in America.

The events, which typically start at 10AM, run for approximately two hours, and the kids are put into groups and rotate through a series of stations with the athletic trainers to include skills drills, nutrition information, and Q&A time, sometimes including MLB players. Stay tuned for more information on PLAY in the future!
