Sarah Pennington serves as Brand Manager for ABLEnow, the national ABLE savings program offered by the Commonwealth of Virginia. With accounts in all 50 states, ABLEnow is one of the fastest-growing ABLE programs in the country. Prior to joining ABLEnow in 2016, Sarah worked in a variety of marketing communications roles in other government agencies and private-sector organizations. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech and a Master’s degree from West Virginia University. Sarah lives in Richmond, Va. and enjoys serving the community as a volunteer through the Junior League and as a volleyball coach with the Special Olympics of Virginia.
Scott de Varona is the MiABLE Program Director within the Student Financial Services Bureau. Scott has worked for the State for 19 years in various positions within the Departments of Treasury & Health & Human Services. Scott holds a BA in Business Administration from Northwood University and an MBA from the De Vos Graduate School of Management.
Scott lives in Grand Ledge, Michigan with his wife and 2 children.
