NDSS Sports Ambassador
Kevin Pearce
Kevin Pearce, professional snowboarder, has recently joined NDSS as the Sports Ambassador. Kevin is 22 years old and has a brother, David, who is 24, who has Down syndrome.
Kevin is committed to supporting NDSS around the country in an effort to increase the awareness about Down syndrome. Kevin has been snowboarding for the last 13 years. He emerged into the professional snowboard ranks in 2005 as a silent killer, and the industry soon realized that he is a triple-threat capable of winning anywhere in the world. Kevin competes in major invitational Superpipe, Slopestyle, Big Air, and Quarterpipe events. During the 2007-2008 Season Kevin either won or placed on the podium at every contest he entered including the X-Games, Arctic Challenge and Toyota Big Air. Known for his professional demeanor, smooth style, and ridiculously huge airs, Kevin is definitely one to watch, by judges, media, and fans, alike, when he follows up his breakout performance in 2008. When Kevin is not competing he can be found surfing, training at the gym, or enriching his entrepreneurial spirit.
Check back soon to view recent footage of Kevin and David.
