John C. McGinley has been the National Down Syndrome Society Ambassador for over six years, and has participated in more than ten Walks including New York City and Los Angeles.

As the Buddy Walk Ambassador, he has participated in countless media interviews, public speaking engagements and award ceremonies—all promoting the Buddy Walk and highlighting the message of acceptance and inclusion. He spends time with children and their families at each of the Walks, sharing in their stories of hope and offering his warmth and devotion to the community and the cause.

He has recorded several national public service announcements which have included both a television and radio component. John C. has granted the use of his likeness for all promotional materials surrounding the Buddy Walk. In addition, he has recruited his family, friends, and cast members from Scrubs who have all come out to Buddy Walks in support of NDSS.
