Research
Among the most important priorities of NDSS is to increase funding for research in the area of Down syndrome. Scientist who make up the cadre of professionals conducting research in the area of Down syndrome believe that it is possible in the next two decades to develop interventions and therapies that will enable people with Down syndrome to lead healthier and happier lives.
Another important priority of the NDSS’ national Government Affairs Committee is to develop a piece of legislation that will fund the development of centers of excellence in Down syndrome research.
