NDSS produces a variety of events and campaigns for its constituency throughout the year. Our events attract long-time supporters and new families as well as many people who have been merely touched by an individual with Down syndrome and want to express their loyalty. From outdoor events with wide exposure to private events in exclusive venues, NDSS continues to seek ways to make new friends and raise funds for the cause. When members of the Down syndrome community see businesses supporting individuals with disabilities, their consumer behavior is affected and they are more likely to be a return customer and a raving fan.
We encourage you to consider becoming a sponsor or supporter of one of our events. Your brand will receive maximum exposure and your commitment will resonate deeply in the Down syndrome community at large.
Companies are relying on their employees to help them make philanthropic decisions more than ever. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) departments and Employee Social Concerns committees are asking employees to nominate charities they support individually for wider corporate giving programs. Your employer may already be associated with America's Charities or another giving campaign in which you can select NDSS as your charity of choice and make donations via a payroll deduction.
NDSS also appreciates the opportunity to be included in workplace fundraising activities such as dress down days, coin drives, family fun days and charity of the month programs. We are just as eager to raise awareness in your workplace as we are to raise funds.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to support their employees' charitable giving. This is a great way to double the impact of your support of the National Down Syndrome Society. Please contact your employer or your Human Resources department to find out if they have such a program. Most companies match dollar for dollar, and some will even double or triple match donors' gifts! With such programs, the process is usually as easy as requesting a matching gift form from your employer. Please send the completed and signed form in with your next gift to NDSS and we will do the rest.
