My mom and dad were told to institutionalize me when I was born. They were told I would not walk or speak and might get pregnant at 16. I am proud to tell you that I can walk, talk and at 22 still have not had a baby. What have I done? My Mom and I created TecAccess (www.TecAccess.net). We are an IT and Risk Management Company that employs many people with disabilities including people with intellectual disabilities and help organizations all over the world to assure ICT (internet/communications/technology) is fully accessible to everyone including PwD. We speak all over the world about our work. I have been invited to speak by the Princess of Qatar, Europe, Germany, all over the U.S. I have been featured on television, radio, newspaper, magazines, online and several commercials. I have also won several awards for my work - Top 40 under 40 and Compass Award. I love telling my story - it is so important that people understand the value that people like me bring to the workforce and the world.
