Lose Weight, Look and Feel Great

My name is Kate Bartlett. I am a twenty four year old college student at Middlesex Community College and I am working toward my Associate Degree in Liberal Studies and Theater. I go to school part-time and I work part-time at AQUENT a company in Boston. I am also a public speaker and a volunteer. I take dance classes and am involved in community theater. I like my life but I didn't like my weight. So I decided to go on a diet. I was surprised how easy it was to lose weight. I picked the Jenny Craig program because I heard the food was really good and because there was a Jenny Craig center in our town. I'm glad I lost weight and now I love the way I look. The Jenny Craig process is simple. I went to the office, got weighed in and met with my counselor weekly. Then she helped me order my "Jenny Craig" food for the week. Jenny Craig food is delicious. Their meals are small and I was able to add a large salad to lunches and extra vegetables to dinners. I was also able to have three snacks a day. In the morning, a "Jenny Craig" energy bar, and then one snack of fruit and one "Jenny Craig" desert. So on this program, I ate six times a day; breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner snack. It was a lot of food and I was not hungry. I was eating every two hours. My favorite dinner was Teriyaki Salmon and my favorite desert was Triple Chocolate Cheesecake. I lost 30 pounds on Jenny Craig in about five months. Some weeks I would lose a half of pound or less and other weeks I would lose 4 pounds. The average was one to two pounds a week. My counselor and my mom would encourage me during weeks I didn't lose much weight. I just stuck with the program. Every time my parents asked me to go out to dinner with them I said no, I'd rather have my Jenny Craig food. I prepared my own meals independently. I really liked that. I love the way I look now. I went from a size 12 to a size 6 petite and I think that is pretty amazing. Being smaller makes looking for clothes easier than it used to be. I'm short and now I'm in a small size. I used to have trouble buying boots because of my calves but that's not a problem any more. I always went to the gym to work out but now when I go people tell me I look good. In fact, people everywhere have noticed. I was very successful on Jenny Craig. I finished the program in August and I haven't gained weight. I learned - small portions and six meals a day. I recommend Jenny Craig or a program like it to anyone who wants to lose weight and look and feel great.
