Yes, of course, a big brother has to be an example, a friend, a teacher, partner... I have two wonderful boys, and the biggest one, is as expected, strong, determined, sharing... from the first day that his brother came home he became all of these. He's Daniel, a 10 year old boy with Down syndrome who never stops growing and learning new things, almost a teenager, who loves playing guitar, going to the movies, to school and most of all, eating... mmmm he loves sandwiches! And of course, he loves to ride his bike and play foot-ball with his friends and his little brother, Oscar. His role as the big brother is clear: he gives support to his brother when he starts a new class or school, he let him sleep in his own room when he is scared, he protects him from anyone that could hurt him, and of course, he's his number one fan making all kinds of rare and funny things done at home. So, when people ask me if Daniel is the big brother, I answer yes, of course he is! Love you Dany, Mam', Lety C
