On October 13th our daughter Cheyenne Elizabeth was born. She came into the world weighing seven pounds. I had an emergency c-section with her and was waiting ever so patiently to hold my little girl. I had asked my doctor about her and I was told they were doing blood gases and I knew something was wrong! My doctor told me her suspicions and I felt numb. We had no idea that anything was wrong with the pregnancy. I didn't get the chance to hold her I begged them to please let me but it didn't happen and they transported her to a children's hospital an hour away for testing. Her oxygen level was dropping and they were trying to find out why. Our little girl spent six days in the NICU at that hospital and she is an amazing child; she has VSD and sees a cardiologist monthly and her extra chromosome makes her so extra special. My husband and I are true believers that God does not give you anything you cannot handle but rather gives you things that make you so much stronger. Cheyenne has a special place here with us and my husband and I are looking forward to the great things she is going to do. She is a beautiful baby girl and loves to talk with us and has a huge smile that just lights up any room. God gave her to us to love and be loved by her. Our lives have definitely been enriched with Cheyenne and I can't wait to see the great things she will do. Our home is now complete with her here and her siblings are only going to make her life so much better. The early intervention team has been amazing and I love to see the things she does and learn more that I can do to help her. Our family has been of great support as well as our children's school teachers here. They love to see her and hear about everything she is doing. We are truly blessed to have them here. Her pediatrician has been absolutely wonderful if he doesn't know the answer he will find it for us. God is great and we have been blessed. Looking forward to the future.
