Hello my name is Bethany Juarez and I have a wonderful baby girl named Elaina with Down syndrome. Elaina was born with Down syndrome which we didn't know until the day she was born, she was also born with an impeferated anus. So she was immediately mediflighted to Oklahoma City from Elk City! I was so scared I have never heard of any of this stuff I was only 16! now after 6-10 surgeries for all her issues, she is a healthy little girl who never lets anything get in her way! She has a supportive family and has speech therapy and is able to attend a regular class but does receive an aid! Elaina can speak, play sports and has nothing holding her back! She has changed her father and I for the best! I don't need or want a cure for my baby! She's not broken- just the most wonderful thing that I could ever wish for!
