My story is about my son, Tyler, who has Down syndrome. Ty is 17 and attends high school. He is so happy all the time. Tyler checks on me when I am sick, if I cough he says, "Mom, are you ok?" When I cry, he tries to console me. He is always honest, loving and is the closest to heaven I can experience on Earth. He loves without discrimination and unconditionally. He loves the Lord without vast knowledge, just his basic understanding. He sees all holidays through a child's eyes, without a money sign or stress. He is my joy. I can't imagine my life without him. I have raised him and his sister by myself for 17 years and he has been my rock, my life, my vision of perfection in a human. I dont see disability, only ability. I am so blessed! Sincerely, Paula Lamar, proud mom of Ty
