My 3 Angels
My 3 Angels

We are the proud parents of six children, four of which are adopted. The three that we are discussing today are our youngest. Matty is 19 and I can't get a grip on that!! Next is our Princess Marlena, 17, who is a real diva! Last our son Marcus who will be 16 on July 1. They are just like triplets yet so very different. They have come as infants from as far away as Texas and from our home state Ohio. They all have unique challenges and strengths. We can't imagine our lives without these beautiful young adults. I guess the way I best describe our life is, we love slower. They do everything and anything. They play Challenger Baseball, Special Olympics basketball, bowling and track, go to dances, hang out with friends and go to sleep overs; everything that typical children do, just later! Our son Matty has some very involved medical issues, yet he participates in just about all activities. Life is appreciated so much more seeing the world through their eyes. The Lord called use to adopt these children and He has blessed us with a new day ever since! No two days are alike, and isn't that awesome! Oh by the way I didn't mention this but they all have Down syndrome. For those who my think it is a dreaded disability, its not! It is an awesome ABILITY!!!!

I met this family when the children were young and just starting pre-school. It has been my privilege to have been a part of their lives This is a amazing family that has embraced each child's individual needs, helped them develope the skills to move beyond hurdles and tear down barriers on their way to success. These are truly amazing young adults we can all learn a lesson from.

This family is only to be admired for what they have done with and for these children!!! How few of us would have the courage and fortitude to make this their life's work. Full time job for sure!! Bless your family Sandee and especially you.
