Machayla as Dorothy on Halloween
Machayla as Dorothy on Halloween

Machayla Reese Hayner was born on September 29, 2008 and had a difficult first week of life. She is a strong and stubborn child and would not give up. We had all the doctors telling us she wouldn't do this or that until she was a certain age and she just shattered everything they said. She was walking by 15 months and climbing everything by the time she was two years old. She absolutely loves books and dancing to music. She is currently in elementary school and doing so well. We couldn't be more proud to have her as our daughter because she isn't a stereotype to us, so don't anyone believe there is one. She is almost four now and I just look at all she has accomplished in her short little life and I just think about why people would choose to not have special children. It was the easiest decision I ever made.
