Lessons I Have Learned

This is my stepdaughter, Sky. She came into my world at just 10 months old. I was only 19 and didn't realize the road I would face with her up ahead. Now, 14 years old, Sky has taught me that the road up ahead is a beautiful journey. Each day poses new challenges and sometimes a lot of frustrations. However, Sky reminds me that each day is a new day, with new opportunities to overcome the fears from the day before. She teaches me to belt out a new song and smile even when I am down. She welcomes anyone into her world, when so many are not willing to open their doors to her. Just when I am trying to teach her life lessons on becoming an independent, young, woman, I find myself being educated by her patience and perseverance through life. She has been an instrumental tool in me becoming the woman I am today.

Learning various languages takes us until we die to learn them all, Love never stops, we are the stronger one while the one who hates everybody goes nowhere. Live on and keep learning. LIVE** LOVE**LAUGH

Raisisng a child today is tough. Raising a chuild like Sky is tougher. I liked this story because this very young woman opened her life and her heart when she was just 19 years old. Sky is a very lucky girl to have Christine as her mother.
