An African proverb says; "It takes two parents to produce a child, but it takes a whole village to raise the child." A significant person in my life is my big brother. My brother has helped me to become more mature for my age, by helping me to see the world in a different (positive) way. This is due to his condition. Another way that my brother has helped me to grow as a human being is when I just out of nowhere start crying, he tells me "I'm here for you" or "Be happy." To add on to that, I see my brother like a positive light. I sometimes think my brother has interpersonal intelligence. My reason for that is because every time he notices that someone is sad, he tells that person many positive messages. I barely see my brother sad or angry. If I do, it is very rare that he would be. When I look at my brother and I am feeling sad or angry, I think, if my brother who has Down syndrome is very tough, then why can't I be like him? My big brother gives me strength and faith. In conclusion, I love my brother very much. He is a person that I think everyone should look up to. I personally think that my brother was brought to life by God on October 26, 1988, to bring a message of love, faith, and peace to this world.
