Peace Love & Downs of Brantley County, Georgia entered a float in the Christmas parade for the first time. We were not sure if we were doing things right, for this was our first time. We wanted to let everyone who does not attend our Buddy Walk® know about Down syndrome, and how great the people of our Down syndrome community are. There were to be two parades this year, the first being in Nahunta, Georgia at 2:00 pm on December 1, and the 2nd was in Hoboken, Georgia on December 8 at 6:00 pm. We knew they would be judging the floats so our attention was focused on getting the word out. We decorated our float with Christmas candy canes, snowflakes and a Christmas tree all while decorating in the blue and yellow Buddy Walk® colors. Our float took 2nd place in the Nahunta parade, and 1st pace in the Hoboken parade. We are so excited and wanted to share this with the Down syndrome community.
