Our first Buddy Walk® webinar will be taking place on Tuesday, May 13 at 1:00 PM EST and will be led by Katrina VanHuss, CEO of Turnkey Promotions.

SElf-advocates and the Buddy Walk®
Join us on Monday, June 16 at 1:00 PM to hear Colleen Endres of the Massachussets Down Syndrome Congress share her experiences with their Advocates in Motion (AIM) program. Empower and engage teens and adults with Down syndrome and maximize their potential to lead full and meaningful lives by involving self-advocates in your Buddy Walk® Program! This webinar will cover a variety of ways in which the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) integrates self-advocates into their Buddy Walk® Program. Helpful tools will be shared so that you can strengthen self-advocate participation in your next Buddy Walk®!
BUDDY WALK® AND THE MEDIA: HOW TO REACH YOUR AUDIENCE THROUGH TRADITIONAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA OUTLETS
Join us on Tuesday, July 22 at 1PM EST to hear Mark Priceman, NDSS VP of Marketing and PR and Kristie Hagen, Communications and Social Media Manager discuss Buddy Walk® and the Media. This session will cover ways to effectively reach out to your local media and promote your Walk online using the tools provided by NDSS and the various types of social media.

Jennie Ponder and Cheriann Cain from the Down Syndrome Association of Jacksonville will lead an informative session on the importance of using reference data from previous Walks to gauge your year-to-year performance as well as give ways to jumpstart additional registration and fundraising activities from your constituents.
