Postsecondary Education
A major goal of the NDSS is to support the development of postsecondary options in a state with the coordinated support of state agencies, colleges and universities, and individuals with disabilities and their families.

NDSS believes in the importance of transition and postsecondary opportunities for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities and has spearheaded a highly-successful ten year strategic initiative, made possible by generous support from the Riggio Family, to expand inclusive postsecondary education opportunities.

NDSS believes in the importance of expanding transition and postsecondary opportunities for people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Increased levels of interest from individuals with Down syndrome across the country have reinforced the need and desire for these programs, and NDSS has assisted in the creation of many of the these postsecondary programs across the country.
