NDSS leads state of the art national advocacy programs to support all Down syndrome advocates across the country. Our national programs are designed to support all advocates for people with Down syndrome by recognizing there are varying levels of volunteer advocacy involvement.

Buddy Walk® on Washington

The NDSS Buddy Walk® on Washington is an annual two-day advocacy conference that brings the Down syndrome community together to advocate for legislative priorities that impact the lives of people with Down syndrome and their families.

The aim of the NDSS Government Affairs Committee (GAC) program is to help Down syndrome support organizations, parents, and self-advocates across states to join forces with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) to achieve positive systems change for individuals with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities at state and local levels of government.
