During Down Syndrome Awareness Month, we should learn and think about inclusion of all people. This is a very important thing that we should know about. We should be aware of other people and support them as well. That’s why we are advocates for ourselves and for other people with disabilities. As self-advocates, we are advocating for our right to be included with our families, friends and in the community. This is inclusion. That’s why NDSS created the National Buddy Walk® Program all across the United States of America and around the world. Buddy Walks give us all the opportunity to learn all about inclusion, and we have learned a lot. Come out to your local Buddy Walk® to celebrate inclusion and have a lot of fun!
